The Green Army Charity Bike Team 2014 Ride

This is the fifth year that The Green Army have taken part in a charity ride, with the first two in aid of The Royal British Legion and the last two Demelza Hospice.

This year, with a friend and colleague of many of the team having been diagnosed with lymphoma (thankfully now in full remission) it was decided to ride in aid of Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research, and at the time of typing this entry we were a tad shy of raising £24,000 against a target of £25,000, with two charity events to take place in the near future.

There are 17 members of the army taking part this year, riding different elements of the Discover Adventure organised London-Paris-Geneva-Nice ride commencing 11th June.  The riders are:

London to Nice - Terry Macey
London to Paris - Geoff Vickers, Nigel Timothy, Niall Brown, Gary Forshaw
Paris to Geneva - Carlo Gajewski, George Smith
Paris to Nice - Bob Smith, Steve Rice, Steve Hutton
Geneva to Nice - Malcolm McLean, Marc Champ, Andrew Morgan, David Jenkins, Tim Bearne, Peter Brown, Simon King

We are all incredibly grateful to all of our sponsors, and in particular to those companies that have sponsored the 2014 team shirt, who are:

Engage
